On September 8, 2022, the 6th correctional chamber of the Marseille judicial court publicly delivered its deliberation in the case of Doctors Lionel and Jean-Claude Guedj. This deliberation, eagerly awaited by the 400 civil parties who had been waiting for more than 10 years, was a very strong moment, like the 5 weeks of hearings that preceded it. The seriousness of the acts of which the two defendants were accused led the Court to pronounce very heavy sentences against them and to grant the claims for compensation of the civil parties. BBLM Lawyers (Me Gilles Martha, Me Vincent Sorel and Me Sonia Martel) ensured in this extraordinary trial the defense of the interests of the Caisse Primaire d'Assurance Maladie des Bouches du Rhône, civil party and direct victim of the actions of these two dentists. The mobilization of our teams, in close collaboration with those of the social organization, made it possible to obtain not only compensation for the significant damage suffered by the CPAM of Bouches du Rhône, but also to have it recognized that such acts necessarily harmed the health system based on trust and national solidarity.
