History of the firm
Key dates in the BBLM Avocats’ history
1985
The Firm was created by Hervé Binisti, Bernard Bouquet and Claude Lassalle, tax and corporate law experts, soon to be joined by François Maurel and Elisabeth Amilien-Sauvan.
The Firm settled its main headquarter in Marseille 3 Place Félix Baret and opened a branch office in Aix en Provence as soon as 1986.
2004-2010
The Firm:
Expanded the number of partners by promoting three associates in tax and corporate law (Fabien de Saint-Seine, Jean-Baptiste Imbert and Laurent Roustouil), and the arrival of Bernard Dumas in tax law;
Created a new employment and labor law advice and litigation practice group with Pierre Brunini and Martine Panossian as partners.
2005-2006
The Firm supported Mr. Claude Lassalle as candidate for the Aix-en-Provence Bar and during the “Bâtonnat” period.
2010-2011
The Firm supported Mr. Claude Lassalle as candidate for the Aix-en-Provence Bar Le and during the “Bâtonnat” period.
2011
The Firm:
Promoted two associates as partners in tax and corporate law (Isabelle Bouquet-Pagnon, Stéphanie Gloaguen-Manenti);
Created two new practice groups, namely commercial litigation and commercial leases with Olivier Tari and Guillaume Buy as partners.
2013
The Firm:
Continued extending its offer of services by creating two new specialist practice groups: Intellectual Property led by Myriam Angelier and Contract/Competition/Distribution.
Reinforced the number of partners in the litigation practice group by integrating bank litigation with Gilles Martha and in the tax practice group with Laurent Strella.
Bernard Bouquet, founder of the Firm and of the corporate law practice group, created the restructuring/insolvency practice group and gathered a team of specialist associates.
To reflect the diversity of its team, the Firm took the acronym BBLM.
2016-2018
The Firm:
Reinforced the restructuring practice group by integrating a second partner, Remy Gomez.
Welcomed Myriam Cuvellier to add to its offer of services on LBOs, M&A and creation of investment funds.
2023
BBLM Avocats has a multi-disciplinary legal offer in 14 areas of proven expertise.
The Firm continued its development by integrating two partners:
Agathe Tartanson to strengthen the division corporate / M&A / LBO-OBO.
Thomas Gagossian in the restructuring practice group
The Contract/Competition/Distribution was extended to regulation issues led by a new partner, Helen Coulibay-Le Gac.
The business development teams of the Aix-en-Provence office were reinforced with Marianne Chevallier in Private-Equity, M&A and international.
