In this context, as a Controller, BBLM Avocats implements a Data Processing system, in compliance with the Applicable Regulations, aimed to Clients management (including for contact and communication purposes, performing tasks entrusted to the Firm, in particular providing legal services, managing client relation, billing, accounting, or monitoring client relation), and more generally managing processes in order to communicate with Clients about tasks entrusted to BBLM Avocats. Collected data may also be used for analysis purposes.

Also, and provided that they do not object, Clients may receive newsletters, informational content on various professional and legal topics, press releases, invitations to training courses or events organized by BBLM Avocats, all in an exclusively professional context.

  • Contract performance: the purpose of this Processing is to perform tasks entrusted by Clients to BBLM Avocats, manage client relation, billing and monitoring of contractual relationships;

Such Processing helps BBLM Avocats to promote and improve its services and benefits visitors to the Website, Clients, and Client’s employees, representatives and/or managers, as well as BBLM Avocats, without undermining the fundamental interests, rights and freedoms of Clients.

  • BBLM Avocats’ compliance with its legal obligations: for example, Processing related to accounting, tax and social obligations.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Personal Data that is collected and processed in this context, and the entire Client-related file will be kept throughout the client relation, and for the applicable limitation period (5 years in the field). Personal Data may also be kept for 10 years to comply with accounting and tax requirements.

Personal Data of unsuccessful applicants is kept for 2 years from the last contact with the applicant, unless the applicant wishes it to be kept for a longer period.

Personal Data of prospects is kept for 3 years from the last contact with the prospect, unless the prospect wishes it to be kept for a longer period.

TO WHOM YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS INTENDED?

Personal Data collected and processed in this context is available for internal use by lawyers and legal advisers and, where applicable, interns who handle Client requests, by employees for file management purposes, and the accounting department.

Information collected, and in particular Personal Data, may be disclosed to third parties, acting as Subcontractors, bound by a subcontracting agreement to perform, inter alia, hosting, storage, communication, data processing, database management or IT managed services. These subcontractors will only act on BBLM Avocats’ instructions and will only have access to your Personal Data in order to perform their services. They will be bound by the same security and confidentiality obligations as BBLM Avocats.
